SHOPPING: LIVING IN ANOTHER ERA?

While I was shopping for a bathroom light fixture I realized...
I should have lived in another era...

oh, so me...

join the tea party at Silken Purse
and check out this tea cup here...

also while shopping I fell in love with
these rose knobs for my vanity...

loving this new, old looking handmade pocketbook...

and always hats.

maybe I chose the new face for my Brayton Cottage because I want to dress like the girl in the photo.

timing is key..

but I continue to dress in my unconventional style

here is  my dressing area

regardless of the era I live in.

Remember I wore this hat to the wedding that I was also the wedding planner?
So have fun with your fashion choices, make your own style and have fun!

So true Karen. Why conform? Older clothes are better made anyway. I wore a hat to church last Sunday with a large sparkly vintage brooch on the side. You would like it.

Dear Karen,
I think I lived with you in another time. I long for it everyday. Where did it go? I sometimes can't believe I am here in 2011 because I truly don't live here now! We could have been next door neighbors:)

I'm glad you're dressing in your own unconventional style...that's as it should be. Thank you for sharing these photographs from another era. I think I'll dust off my hats... ":o)

I love the vintage clothing, old Ford Model A's, the 1930's era, even back to the late 1800's. I follow no rules in my decorating...I just go with what I like. Almost everything in our home is old and has a story!
Happy WW!

I feel the same way about living in another era...I love, love all things vintage. But, sigh, even nostalgia is not what it used to be. Hugs, Gayle (already a follower, please follow me if you have not already.

I agree, the vintage clothing is so beautiful! The advantage to today is still wearing the clothes with the modern conveniences. Great photos, love the tea cup!
