A Study in White

Passed under the Parisian white limestone archway with it's kaleidoscope of colored glass tiles and cascades of Della Robbia carved flowers while shopping in Paris.

With a Parisian salon feel, Shabby Chic slipcovers and sisal carpet refresh a living room.
White, cream, taupe and pink, so welcoming, Tres` chic.

White and pink with robin's egg blue for accent. The painted blue stair runner balances the contrasts of the formal and informal.

This is lovely, Karen. Very feminine and elegant, yet I can still appreciate the spacious feel and overall uplifting air the simple light decor brings.
Your right, that painted blue runner really brings cohesion and balance to the subtle colors in the room

Lovely....a very soothing feel. I am particularly fond of the minimal palette with a limited dash of soft color. I always enjoy your post. Gorgeous!

Gorgeous, I love the white! The most challenging thing with white is what colors to use to set it off and where to use them. The pink flowers are the perfect addition:)

Something I really love about one of the rooms you feature above; the glossy white ceiling. There was a room featured in a recent Country Living spread with a glossy white ceiling and I just love the way the reflections and light play off of it. I need to break out of my "matte" mode!

I agree Kelly, There are times that a glossy ceiling can be perfect for a room! thanks Cathy and Lisa also for your wonderful comments!
